The Hungaroring has provided an update on its current renovations, which are set to be useable at this year's Hungarian Grand Prix on 1-3 August 2025.
The redevelopment began in July 2024. The works will include a modernised paddock, main building, and main grandstand, but won't affect the track. With tickets for the new sectors of the main grandstand expected to go on sale on this Monday, much earlier than expected, the circuit has shared photos of the progress.
"The construction of the Hungaroring is progressing faster than planned, and as a result, ticket sales for new sectors on the new main grandstand could start on Monday, announced by Zsolt Gyulay, President and CEO of Hungaroring Sport Zrt. at a press get-together on Monday."
Hungaroring renovation updates
Main grandstand:
A roof has been constructed over the main grandstand. The grandstand structure has been completed, with just the seated needing to be finalised.
Paddock:
The ground floor of the paddock building has had garage doors installed along with portioning grids. The basement and first floor construction work is still in progress and the two unused tower blocks are due to be torn down before the end of the month.

According to the latest update from the track:
"For the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix, the building will look completely finished from the outside, but for now only the pits and the first floor will be used for their intended purpose, while the media center and race control will be located in a temporary location.
"The racetrack will be fully prepared for the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix - starting next year, it will be the largest sports facility in the country, as well as the largest event venue in the country."
The 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix is the second leg of a double-header. The Belgian Grand Prix will take place on 25-27 July before Formula 1 heads to the Hungaroring on 1-3 August.
