It has been confirmed that Andretti Global is moving its IndyCar, IndyNXT, and Formula E operations after acquiring a 240,000+ square foot facility in Indianapolis.
The building, an old printing house previously belonging to The Indianapolis Star before they moved in early 2024, is due a thorough renovation and still houses a number of printing presses spanning three-storeys.
Its current base on Zionsville Road is being sold to Arrow McLaren to be used as its permanent headquarters.
Quoted in a press release from the motorsport titan, Jill Gregory, president of Andretti Global, revealed the news.
“We are excited to create a state-of-the-art racing and technology center for the Andretti Global teams,’’ she said.
“The 240,000-square-foot former printing press facility provides a unique opportunity having both preexisting office and industrial space under one roof, making it uniquely suited to Andretti’s needs, while providing exceptional opportunities for employee well-being and competition success.’’
The renovations will include a pit stop performance space and industry-leading employee amenities like a fitness centre and dining area.
The new headquarters in Fishers, Indiana, which is still under construction, will likely house its Formula 1 development under Cadillac, separating it entirely from its other motorsport activity. This wouldn't come as a surprise, as the F1 cost cap regulations stipulate that all financial records of a team should be kept and audited.

Having an IndyCar team under the same roof and utilising the same technology would make this a difficult process for a team that needs to focus on breaking into the sport in 2026.
Mirroring this, the team opened a headquarters in Silverstone, England, in 2024. This, in comparison, is a small investment, with the building only measuring 48,000 square feet.
"F1 is obviously the pinnacle of auto racing in the world,” Michael Andretti during the opening of the site.
“We're in all different types of racing series, but to be in F1 is at the top. And so that's why I think for our brand, it'd be huge.
“And it'll just complete our goal, and that is to be in every single major sporting racing event in the world. And then obviously, getting to F1 is the top of that.
“So it's a big goal, it's been a goal of ours for a few years now. And we are right there, we're going to be there. And we feel very strongly that we're going to be there.
“And we're building a fantastic team as well, this is something that's going to be unique to F1, to build a real F1 team from scratch with great brains.
“This is something that I think could catch a lot of people off-guard when we do finally get on the grid.”
