Trackhouse adopts Gulf’s iconic colours for special MotoGP livery

New colour scheme for the American team at Buriram and Termas de Rio Honda

Trackhouse Racing will take part in the opening two rounds of the 2025 MotoGP season in the iconic blue and orange colours of Gulf Oil.

The new livery was unveiled on the eve of the Thailand Grand Prix and will also be seen on the bikes of Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura in next month’s Argentina Grand Prix.

Both riders will also race in special Gulf-branded leathers, while the team's garage will also be repainted in blue and orange at Buriram and Termas de Rio Honda.

Gulf Oil first inked a partnership with Aprilia’s satellite squad in December but its logo was only featured on the front wheel cover in the full-season livery that was revealed in January.

“From the moment I fell in love with Motorsport, I have admired and been inspired by the iconic Gulf livery in every form it has taken in the history of racing,” said Justin Marks, Founder & Owner of Trackhouse.

“To be able to unveil the Gulf Trackhouse Aprilia bikes is a deeply personal moment. It’s an honor and privilege to partner with such an iconic brand in MotoGP and cannot wait to see these incredible bikes at speed on the racetrack.”

Gulf Oil has been involved in motorsport for decades and its partnerships with a wide variety of racing teams has spawned one of the most iconic liveries in all of racing.

It gained international significance thanks to the 1971 movie Le Mans in which Steve McQueen drove a Gulf-branded Porsche.

Gulf also sponsored McLaren in both F1 and Can-Am series in the 1960s and, after rekindling their partnership in recent years, the team brought back the famous livery on a one-off basis in the 2021 Monaco GP.

Gulf's deal with McLaren ceased at the end of 2022 and it has since partnered with Williams.
